Concerts for a Cause: Funds for BC Floods Volume III

Introducing Concerts for a Cause: Funds for BC Floods. Come along to Blarney Stone on Thursday, January 13th, January 20th, and February 3rd to sing along as we raise money for the many people who have been affected by the devastating flooding in Abbotsford BC. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Red Cross Canada, which has played a crucial role in providing support to those in need. Flooding and landslides in BC have caused additional issues with the supply chain, so it is very important that we come together to help our neighbours!

Doors 7:30pm, event starts 8pm. Save your spot by booking your table on the website or at the door. It is recommended to book the table online to get a choice of tables with the best view. Tables cost $10 per seat, so tables of 4 are $40 and tables of 6 are $60 (+website fee). 100% of ticket sale revenue is donated to the Red Cross BC Flood & Extreme weather appeal! The option to donate more by cash, e-transfer or cheque is also available at the event, and is much appreciated as 100% goes to our neighbours who have been affected by the BC floods! Concerts organized and MC'd by Jake Sawatzky in collaboration with the Semiahmoo Peninsula Rotaract volunteer club and the Beta Theta Pi UBC Chapter.

Book your table online by finding the table of 4 or 6 you want on the map (400 and 500 level tables are on the second floor) and putting "1" in the box beside it, then checking out!

*Please note, stage four COVID restrictions are being implemented. You must have proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, via your passport and a second piece of government-issued photo ID.

The Daveed Saband// The Daveed Saband is the solo project of guitarist, vocalist, and hair aficionado Daveed Saban. Just in case the name wasn’t a dead giveaway. Saban and co. have built a reputation in and around Vancouver for their high energy and often chaotic shows featuring extended psychedelic jams, blistering guitar solos, and their undeniably goofy sense of humour. Joined by bassist/Star Wars die-hard James Olson, guitarist/aspiring model Aric Froese, along with drummer and dad joke connoisseur Michael Broddy, The Daveed Saband aim to take you on a visceral, enigmatic, and thrilling journey through their acid-fried minds.

Bleako's Nuclear Disco// We are scientists searching for the wrong answers. Are we guilty for not knowing them? Are we guilty for trying to make sense of the world around us? Are we guilty for being afraid? Are we guilty for pushing away what will only keep us here, half asleep?
These songs have become our shelter where we can think more, fear less, and find our own meaning in this increasingly nonsensical and intrusive world. We would love you to join us on our journey to finding better answers.
