DAY 2:  FROM SON TO CASINO

Sunday, October 27th. 11:00 to 2:00 PM
Location: Baza Dance Studios, 1304 Seymour St. 
Admission: $120 per couple (sold in pairs)

During the first half of this workshop you’ll be introduced to Son in such a way as to identify the stylistic elements that define it and also differentiate it from Casino. In our evolution as Son-Casino dancers, is important to recognize what makes Son unique, and what connects it to Casino. 

On the second half of the workshop we will explore Casino through figures that eco Son roots (like the Paseos) and others that establish decisive departure points from Son. The emphasis, as has been my priority in the past few years, will be on figures the denote elegance, connection and recognition of the Follow role, oftentimes diminished by the Lead’s desire to do crazy moves. All the forward-thinking Leads in da house are welcome!

PLEASE NOTE: tickets for this event are sold in PAIRS, therefore you need to come with a partner. This is to avoid having a very unbalanced workshop. The $120 price tag is for two people.
