Your ticket empowers young women to pursue education in Ghana with the Create Change charity. 

"  With Our Voices, is a dry benefit concert which is held in hopes of inspiring Vancouver communities to impact girls education in Ghana. Create Change is a Vancouver based charity, which has been implementing initiatives there for the past 13 years, drastically changing literacy rates and quality of life for female youth Ghana. In an outreach program, Magee Global Connections club students have been working tiresomely to fund ten girl's education for the next school year.  By using their opportunities in Canada, they have created a community of passionate  young adults. 

Now, they would like to invite the public to join these high school students in a fun evening, while raising awareness for global education. Headlining the event is the Vancouver based band, Her Brothers. After the lead singer visited Asia, he witnessed situations that dehumanized women. Images of poverty, women being sold as slaves, caste systems that reduced the value of women, and degrading conditions that bound and prohibited women from reaching their full potential, stirred his soul. With every disturbing encounter, his heart was struck with the question: “What if this was my little sister?” The “what ifs” lead to an idea “What if we could challenge men to stand up and fight for rights of women? What if one half of humanity were to stand up for the other half, for the benefit of all? What if we could change the way men view and treat women at home and around the globe?” 

Aligning with Magee Global Connections values, Her Brothers will be performing, along with local choirs, and speaking towards the change in societal mindset. With our Voices, we can all contribute and "Create Change" in Ghana.  "
