New Waves is pleased to once again bring "the legendary Shahenshah-E-Qawwal & Shaan-E-Sufi, Pride of Pakistan" - Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Kahn, returns to Vancouver on June 7, 2015 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Khan Sahib has become a world widephenomenan after taking over from his uncle Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and his soulful voice has capitvated audiences around the world. This year Khan Sahib will also be giving a special tribute to Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and several of his super hit songs in various Bollywood films and his new album “Back2Love”. The upcoming concert will be different in many ways.

The “Back to Love Tour” promises an electrifying performance by Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, as he will mesmerize his audience with his Qawwali, Bollywood songs and heartfelt melodious tunes from his new album. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is the nephew of the legendary late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and was mentored by him since the age of three. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has also captured the hearts of millions worldwide through his Bollywood hits. Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is blessed in many ways and quotes “I am very fortunate to be born in a family where music flows in our blood stream”.

He has had award winning hits for films such as Dabaang, My name is Khan, Son of Sardar and many more. He is the glorious voice behind hit songs such as ‘Tere Mast Mast Do Nain’, ‘Sajda’, ‘Dil to Baccha Hai ‘,’ Dagabaaz Re, Dil Ka Mizaj Ishqiya, Allah Jaane O Re Piya, Surili Akhiyon Wale, Teri Meri, Tera Deedar Hua, Mere Bina Tu alongside many more. Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been honored with Awards for Best Music Talent in a Film at the 14th London Music Festival in 2012, the Award for Best Male Playback Singer at the 2011 Filmfare Awards and the Award for Best Singer Male at the Pakistan Media Awards in 2011. In 2013, he was honored with an outstanding award from the House of Lords for community cohesion.

2014 - Rahat Sahib performed at the IFFA Tampa Bay, Florida USA and we are also very pleased and proud to share with you and officially introduce you to the "Headline Performer of the Nobel Peace Prize Award 2014.
