Vickers Way//
Vickers Way is the fruits of labour of 5 Chinese-Canadians that have come together to create their own unique sounds. Their band name is derived from the location of their original Richmond music studio, a place that all five deem as their
common music “starting point”. They are currently based out of their newly renovated home studio in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
The members all have drastically different musical backgrounds, but together they create original English songs that are influenced by modern, progressive rock and brit-pop. Contrary to the customary practice of having one single songwriter, their songs are
all written, arranged and produced as one collaborative group. Through that process, they are able to play to their individual strengths and create distinctive tracks. Finished pieces are depictions of their collective narrative and perception on current events
and innermost feelings. They are set to debut their first EP in 2022. Vickers Way is a hardworking, sincere group that are actively seeking opportunities to share their original sounds with audiences beyond the four walls of their studio.

Free Speakers//
The Free Speakers are an alternative rock band hailing from Vancouver Island. Their music draws influence from classic bands like the Police and the Cars, with a healthy dose of heavier more guitar based style of the Raconteurs and Foo Fighters. Formed in 2019 by founding members Blair Deptuck (lead vocals/guitar) and Brent Redberger (backing vocals/bass), the duo made the decision to get into the studio to record original songs that they had accumulated during their stints in various bands. Looking for others to collaborate with to bring their vision to life, they recruited good friends and seasoned musicians, Jon Roper (guitar) and Joel Fountain (drums) from Vancouver, BC.
Together with the skilled producer/engineer Rick Salt, The Free Speakers have crafted a sound with their own brand of honest rock while keeping a strong foothold in the modern day. Their efforts culminated in the 2020 debut EP, “Signs“, a five-track kicker with a fresh and live sound. The album features punchy guitar driven rock with clean vocals and a smoking rhythm section.
The group is gearing up to play local gigs as venues reopen this fall. More songs are in the works and there are plans to release a full length album in 2022.
