CUBAN RUMBA & FUSION WORKSHOP

Nowadays, Cuban music tends to flirt a lot with Rumba. This has generated an interest in Rumba in the dance community, as people feel the need to express the rhythm accordingly. However, this is not an easy thing to do. Alexis Mora will show you the way on Saturday, January 27th.

In this workshop’s first stage we will first explore Cuban Rumba in detail, with emphasis on steps, posture and body expression. With that foundation built in, we will proceed to incorporate Rumba moves in contemporary Timba music, keeping a logic rhythmic connection with the songs.
