This holiday season Coastal City Ballet performs Hansel and Gretel

A whimsical tale, stunning designs and an irresistible choreography make Coastal City Ballet’s Hansel and Gretel the ideal holiday treat for the whole family

Adapted from composer Engelbert Humperdinck’s celebrated opera, Irene Schneider’s enchanting story ballet is perfect for families and children of all ages. Coastal City Ballet’s full-length version of the cautionary tale features imaginative sets, fantastical costumes, and the hauntingly beautiful music of Humperdinck’s beautiful opera. The ballet will be brought to life by Coastal City Ballet, as well as local dance students from throughout the Lower Mainland who auditioned for the opportunity to perform alongside the company artists.

The classical production tells the timeless story of a brother and sister-duo who get lost in the woods and stumble upon a delectable house made of gingerbread. Hansel and Gretel are soon helping themselves, unaware they are falling into the Witch’s trap. 

Please note that there is no photography or filming by audience members allowed during the performance. Doors open 1 hour before show time.

Everyone including children of any age requires a ticket. Choose the Stu/Sen pricing for children who are not attending school. Anyone with a Student ID card (high school, college/university etc) qualifies for the Student pricing.
