I Told You I Was Trouble are an 8-piece Amy Winehouse Tribute from Vancouver, BC. The band formed in 2021 from a collection of funk-loving jazz nerds who met Capilano University Jazz Studies Program and who all just couldn't get enough of Amy Winehouse. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses modern Motown and jazz fusion with an exciting brass section and powerful vocals that will make you want to dance in your COVID-restriction-mandated seat. I Told You I Was Trouble features Alexa Logan, vox, Jenn Davidson, tenor saxophone, Nicky “Hot Lips” Walsh, trombone, David Brown, baritone saxophone, Bradan DeCicco, guitar, Mike Allen, keyboards, Brad “the Almighty” Pearson, bass, and Eliot Doyle, drums.

Alexandra Beck is a fun loving, stage zealous Canadian R&B Soul Artist. She hails from Vancouver, Canada. Alexandra is proud of her power vocal and unique sound. Coming from a tiny white girl’s body most don’t expect a voice like hers- but Alexandra is proud that she is defying the boundaries and definitions of what should be in music. Alexandra’s innate sense for hearing and creating very catchy melodies out of thin air without any instrumentation- is her strength as a songwriter.

Alexandra has performed on different big stages in North America with highlights including: performances at Canadian Music Week 2021, her set at the historic Bitter End(Lady Gaga has frequented this stage!!!) in New York City 2019, and being selected by Pitch Perfect’s musical director for a vocal solo amongst a mass choir at Lincoln Centre in NYC in 2018. Alexandra is also proud that she was a regional finalist in the Jim Beam/Canadian Music Week National Talent Competition 2020.

Alexandra has been working hard in the studio on her debut album for much of 2021. With heavy influences from early 2000’s R&B and Pop as well as much more modern & timely production she’s particularly excited to make her release. This album is most aligned with where she has wanted the direction of her sound to go since she started singing.
