Naked Gypsies With Special Guests Chris Clute + 29 East Live From LMA, (A Nimbus Satellite Campus)

Naked Gypsies: A hard hitting, progressive grunge-style band from North Vancouver

Chris Clute: Singer and Songwriter Chris Clute teams up with his band to deliver a highly energetic live feel to his pristine sounding pop/rock songs.
Produced by Sound of Kalima’s Peter Nieuwenburg and Salil Verma, Chris’s recordings are tender, warm and smooth with his effected vocals floating in and out of the tracks. However, with the addition of Tom Lambrou’s unique percussive abilities on drums and John Quinn’s innate Bass playing ability, the live show feels like it’s been injected with energy and groove.

“This band doesn’t take itself too seriously... we like to have a good time with each other and with our audience.”

29 East: 29 East is the musical union of 4 men hailing from the great British Columbia, reaching it's completed state in 2020. Their style can be described as a combination of Funk, Blues, Jazz, Hip-hop, Rock and good old fashioned all-American R&B. With 3 different frontmen hailing from separate solo projects and previous endeavors, there's something for everybody in here. On guitar and vocals: The Suavior; Tozé Campos. On vocals and guitar: The Shoulder-length Sheba; Cole Dine. On bass and vocals: The Human Bear; Daniel Hunter. And on Drums: The Mononymic Monolith; David.

Please Note** This is a "Live Stremed Show" and thereore, a COVID-19 safe performance. A couple of hours prior to the event, you will be emailed a link to the live stream.

Historic LMA (Little Mountain Sound Studios) has been a staple in Vancouver since the early 1970's. Vancouver is no stranger to Great Recording Studios, in fact, some of the best Recording Studios in Canada, arguably North America, lay hidden amongst our high-rises, and LMA is no exception! Managed and owned by Bob Brooks since 1982, LMA saw major success through the 70's, 80's and 90's. Famed Producers Bob Rock and Bruce Levens both began their engineer/production careers at LMA while working with some of the best in the business. The clients who have recorded at LMA include: Bryan Adams, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and Metallica, to name a few... While the years have gone by, LMA has changed but the original location remains as a creative space for artists through its use as satellite location for Nimbus School of Recording Media. These days, while our cities young producers and musicians hone their craft at LMS, they are only too aware they stand on the shoulders of giants. And so, the legacy of LMA lives on in the young and the bold.
